Youth

Wesley Youth is a place where students grow as young disciples, share God’s love, and serve our community. We learn, build friendships, and make an impact through faith and service.

Confirmation Class of 2024 & Mentors

Confirmation at Wesley UMC

Confirmation is a special time for youth to learn about their faith, ask questions, and decide to say “yes” to a life with Christ. In the United Methodist Church, confirmation usually happens during middle school, but it’s open to anyone who is ready to take this step.

Through classes, service projects, and conversations, students explore what it means to follow Jesus, be part of the church, and live out their faith each day. At the end of the class, they can choose to be confirmed and become full members of the church.

Jeremiah Project Misson Team 2024

Jeremiah Project Youth Mission

The Jeremiah Project is a summer mission trip for our middle and high school youth. Each year, our students travel to Romney, West Virginia to help people in need by doing home repairs like painting, building ramps, and fixing porches.

This trip is a chance for youth to serve others, grow in their faith, and build strong friendships. Along with the work, they enjoy worship, prayer, and fun together as a group.

The trip is open to rising 6th graders and older.

Recent Youth Activities

MAY 10, 2026 | Confirmation Sunday

We had special Confirmation Sunday celebration centered on the theme, “Called to Love.”

During worship, the congregation joyfully witnessed the confirmation of Alec Thompson as he publicly affirmed his faith journey. We also give thanks for the faithful guidance and encouragement of Vickey Anderson, Alec’s confirmation mentor, who walked alongside him throughout the past four months of preparation and spiritual growth.
