Need a fun place for your kids to play on Election Day? Join us at Wesley UMC for a day of fun with bikes, racers, mats, and other play equipment! Parents can enjoy free Wi-Fi, tables, and a microwave for lunch. The fee is $10 per child, and parent supervision is required at all times. This is not a drop-off program! To sign up, click HERE. Pastor Mac McKenney, who will lead our discussion of “The Intersection of Faith and Politics," worked on Capitol Hill for 24 years and an additional 19 years in government relations before serving three churches as associate pastor. We will consider: what the Hebrew prophets and Jesus had to say about compassion and justice, the Social Principles of the United Methodist Church, and how our faith should inform our political views. Spoiler alert: Thoughtful people of faith can and do reach different conclusions about how to translate Christian values into public policy.
