Next Parents Night Out at Wesley UMC on Friday, November 14, 5 pm - 8 pm! Ages 2 1/2 and up are welcome. Dinner will be provided. All staff and volunteers for this event are background checked and safety trained. Please pray for all staff, volunteers, and children.

On Scout Sunday, February 8, Cadette Girl Scout Lucy will host a Girl Scout cookie sale in the narthex after the service. You can buy cookies or make a donation. Donations support Lucy’s troop in sharing cookies with their Hometown Heroes, including school staff and local firefighters and police. All cookies are $6. Mardi Gras is a joyful celebration that takes place before the season of Lent begins. The name means “Fat Tuesday” in French, marking a time of feasting, music, and community before the more reflective season of Lent. Traditionally, Mardi Gras is a day to enjoy fellowship, celebrate life, and give thanks, often filled with colorful decorations, parades, and shared treats. Come and join us as we celebrate together.

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, a time to prepare our hearts for Easter through prayer and reflection. Join us for a worship service at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary or online. During the service, we will offer the Imposition of Ashes, with ashes placed on the forehead or hand in the shape of a cross. This reminds us of our humanity and our need for God’s grace.

Vickery Anderson, a faithful member of Wesley UMC, will give us a presentation, “Vitamins, minerals, supplements: oh my. Do we need them and why?” She holds a Ph.D. degree in nursing and recently retired as a clinical center nurse practitioner at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. All are welcome.
