Join our worship service this Sunday 10 AM
Wesley Children's Ministry is a welcoming place where kids and their families can grow in their faith, learn to help others, and have fun together. We offer Sunday School, holiday events, activities for all ages, service projects, and more. We’d love to meet your family! You are always welcome at Wesley UMC. If you’d like your child to join, please fill out our registration form so we can create a safe and welcoming space.
Every Thursday, we send out Children’s Ministry e-newsletters. Stay connected with all the fun and faith-filled activities in our Children’s Ministry! Subscribe to our weekly email for updates, reminders, and resources for families and volunteers.
Our professionally staffed Nursery provides care for children ages infant through 3 years during our 10:00 worship service. We love to have little ones in our services, and truly don’t mind the various “joyful noises” they produce. But if your child would be happier playing with fun toys, please know that our Nursery, located in Room 105 (just below the Sanctuary), is always ready for your little one!
All children will attend 10 AM worship in the Sanctuary. Kids can use sensory toys from the Narthex during worship. They will be invited to the altar for the Children’s Message, then head to Sunday School in Room 102. Elementary kids meet in Room 101, and younger kids (preschool and kindergarten) meet in Room 104. Pick them up from their rooms.
On Communion Sunday, kids return to the sanctuary to attend the Communion. And on holiday weekends, all the kids have one class in Room 101.
Each November, Wesley collects donations of coats and sweaters for homeless and needy people in Northern Virginia. There are many ways for children and their parents to help with this intergenerational mission.
Each June, the Children's Ministry participates in assembling hygiene kits and flood buckets for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) to deliver to school children in need, both in the USA and abroad.
Wesley kids join in assembling nutritious meal packages for Rise Against Hunger, a global nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger and providing food to those in need, which helps the kids dedicate their time and effort to making a positive impact in the lives of others while learning the value of service and compassion.

Wesley Youth is a journey of young disciples on the path of righteousness towards our Lord, shining our light and His glory on the people of our community. We will extend our faith to the lost and lonely, and work as missionaries through Christ our Lord. We look beyond what we see. Above all powers, God prevails. Impact on impact…… Lives will be touched.
Confirmation Class of 2024 & Mentors
Confirmation is a special time for youth to learn about their faith, ask questions, and decide to say “yes” to a life with Christ. In the United Methodist Church, confirmation usually happens during middle school, but it’s open to anyone who is ready to take this step.
Through classes, service projects, and conversations, students explore what it means to follow Jesus, be part of the church, and live out their faith each day. At the end of the class, they can choose to be confirmed and become full members of the church.
If your child is interested in joining the next confirmation class, please contact the church office for more information.
Jeremiah Project Misson Team 2024
The Jeremiah Project is a summer mission trip for our middle and high school youth. Each year, our students travel to Romney, West Virginia to help people in need by doing home repairs like painting, building ramps, and fixing porches.
This trip is a chance for youth to serve others, grow in their faith, and build strong friendships. Along with the work, they enjoy worship, prayer, and fun together as a group.
The trip is open to rising 6th graders and older.
For questions, contact Pastor Jiyeon at pastor@wesleyvienna.org.
